With podcasts becoming more popular than ever, I teamed up with the creative mind of Michael Hirschuber to bring his podcast Spill The Beans to life! I created a series of logo types and imagery to display on different digital platforms such as Spotify and Instagram as well as for tangible merchandise products.
About the pod:
“Spill The Beans is a podcast to provide people with a platform to tell their own stories, whatever it may be. Each episode the beans will be spilt; whether it be a casual conversation with myself, my friends, friends, or other storytelling figures, each podcast will be hot out of the pot ready to sip.” - Michael Hirschuber
Color Pallet
Color was a key component in establishing an inviting and cohesive brand for STB. Striving to spark curiosity among listeners, I used bright colors mixed in with bold tones to provoke the reminiscently warm nature of a cup of coffee. My daring color choices in combination with my playful illustrative style captures the identity of the multifarious podcast.

Creative Process
Eager to this project started, I challenged myself to dive in by working digitally first, rather than sketching. After coming up with these first two logo variations, I felt something was missing.

At this stage, these logos appeared to fit more of the needs coffee shop than it did a podcast. I needed to secure a way for viewers to know that this was an identity mark for conversations AND coffee.

Sketches
Back I went, to my trusty method of brainstorming with pencil and paper. I eventually landed on the idea of having the name of the podcast displayed within the confines of a speech bubble as a means to give way to the coffee cup and beans.

Merchandise
Pushing this passion project a step further, Michael and I came together to take some of the STB logos and illustrations and apply them to wearable goods for purchase. Stickers, hats, and t-shirts were made on behalf of the STB name. What better way to advertise a new podcast than launching its very own line of merch?!
